Arnoldo Diaz is a talented
artist whose paintings reflect his happy personality: whimsical and joyous.
Arnoldo Diaz was selected by V&S, Vin & Sprit Aktiebolag of Sweden to join an
illustrious group of Absolut Artists. He is the first Venezuelan artist to have
been honored by the Absolut Vodka Company. Attracted by his fresh approach to
painting and the bright, exotic colors, Absolut liked his Neo pop style with
his happy, up heat feeling. Arnoldo Diaz had a solo exhibit at the Firgau Gallery
in Coral Gables, Florida. This exhibit was a great success because his paintings
make people happy and the brilliance of his colors make the observers feel alive.
Besides his paintings, Arnoldo has been experimenting with different things.
He has created colorful wooden plates and other delightful items that immediately
appeal to art lovers. Arnoldo was born in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, and grew
up in Maracay city. At 17 he left home and went to Caracas to continue his education.
These were the unsettled and rebellious 60’s and to young Arnoldo, London seemed
to be the capital of the world, “were it all was happening”

He
lived in England from 1969 to 1972. There he discovered a great desire to create
and painting. When he returned to Venezuela, he painted with great fervor, and
his work came to the attention of the Artex Gallery in Maracay, where hi had
his first exhibit. In a very short time his popularity soared. “It is certainly
very important I anyone’s life to be able to do what one enjoys. I am grateful
that life gave me this gift.” Arnoldo has been asked to exhibit his paintings
in solo and group exhibits in Romania, Bulgaria, as well as in the United States
and South America. He was selected by Modern Art Café to be the featured artist
at their Edmonton, Canada café located within the world’s largest shopping mall
and he also was commissioned to create the official Miami Centennial Birthday
poster. “My paintings depict the circus, joy, tropical landscapes, colorful
fruits and, always, flowers, and brushes – the tools of my trade.” “I am in
transit in this very colorful, lively and joyful plain, with its simplistic
daily aspect, but never lacking beauty and grandeur” According to Arnoldo: “
to be what we want to be, wherever we are, is what allows our universe to unfold
anywhere we go.”

“ to be what
we want to be, wherever we are, is what allows our universe to unfold anywhere
we go.”
“I have seen, heard and
tasted things. I have felt, lived and suffered many more, the infinite number
of experiences are limited only to the moment when the book of our lives closes,
and even after this the atmosphere remains, the color remains, the feature,
the line, the shape, the expression, the traces, the look, the word, the love
we offer in each moment, idea, thought, and paragraph of the countless roads
that man travels. My work is diverse as well as the sense of its visualization
and interpretation. I don’t look for but find expression in each work I do.
Life is much more than all the colors together (the light), much More than a
great thought, that many truths, “The life is” and you must know how to live
it. Much more important is what you can perceive, than what, I can tell you.
I only hope that in some way I can accompany or motivate you in this or in another
instant of creation.
